1. These fonts are generated by modifying Hanyang fonts available as hanfont.pcf.tar.gz at ftp://ftp.kaist.ac.kr. 2. Now, FONT_DESCENT has more reasonable values than in original Hanyang fonts. Thus, spacing between lines are more reasonable than before. 3. These fonts are defined as 'character cell' fonts rather than 'monospace' fonts, so that you don't need to make alias to get them available in 'Options-General- Font-Proportional' menu in Netscape. 4. Installation : - put all of pcf files in the directory you want to install them - if your X server can handle compressed fonts, compress them with 'compress'(not with 'gzip'). - In that directory, run $ mkfontdir . $ xset fp `pwd`' $ xset fp rehash - Note that these fonts have the same names as original Hanyang fonts, so that you may have to eliminate lines for aliasing 'propotional' Hanyang fonts to 'monospace' fonts at the end of 'font.alias' file if you previously installed original Hanyang fonts - check if they're available for you to use $ xlsfonts | grep hanyang 5. Note for X11 R4 users - PCF fonts can be converted to SNF by getting BDF with 'xbdfdump' on X11 R5 or R6 server and converting BDF to SNF with 'bdftosnf'.
